Of the 16,000 National Merit semi-finalists named in September, six Shaker High School students have been named finalists by the scholarship program.
The students meeting the criteria to be named finalists are: Lauren Brissette, Katherine Conjalka, Brian Devendorf, Pradham Rodda, Shashank Sekhar, and Jongmyeong Sung.

As finalists, these six students are now under consideration for one of 7,500 National Merit $2,500 scholarships that will be offered on a state representative basis.
“On behalf of the North Colonie community, I extend special congratulations and recognition to our finalists and their families for this meritorious achievement,” said SHS Principal Jim Wager.
