Not yet a registered voter? Follow these steps:

To vote by mail, absentee, or in person, you need to register with either:

OR

  1. Albany County Board of Elections or go to https://elections.ny.gov/register-vote. Once the Albany County Voter list gets updated we can then send you the application.

If you have any questions, please email districtclerk@nccsk12.org or call 518-785-8591.

What is the difference between mail-in & absentee ballots?

NCCSD voters now have a new and convenient option for casting their ballots in this spring’s school district elections, budget vote, and referenda – early vote by mail. Early voting by mail works much in the same way that absentee voting traditionally has. The main change in the New York state legislation is that the vote-by-mail option is now available to everyone.

The NCCSD will continue to automatically send absentee ballots to people the Albany County Board of Elections designates as having a permanent disability or are in the military. However, everyone else can vote by mail now, too.

When will I get my mail-in ballot?

All mail-in ballots will be sent beginning April 27. Ballots can be returned by postage-paid envelope. They can also be placed in the secure drop box located at 91 Fiddlers Lane (District Office) or one that will be available at designated Shaker High School events prior to the May 21 election.
