In January 2024, students of German grades 10, 11 and 12 took the prestigious and highly competitive German National Exam. Ten students received a gold medal and their scores qualified them to apply for the AATG National German Exam scholarship – an all expenses paid, three week stay in Germany. Please join us in congratulating Jack DeRoziere, a junior taking a University-in-the-High School German class with Mrs. Connor at Shaker High School, whose excellent exam scores and interview results awarded him the scholarship. Jack will be traveling to Germany for three weeks this July. He will be completely immersed in the target language and culture while he is staying with a German host family and attending a school in Bad Reichenhall, in Bavaria, Germany. The program also includes several days of sight seeing in Berlin after the homestay. Have fun on your adventure Jack!
