As we continue to plan for the reopening of schools, this page will contain the most updated information for our district families. We will continue to email updates and update this page as we learn more.
We know that our students, families, faculty, and staff are wondering what September will look like and have many questions. As of right now, per the state’s guidance, we are looking at a variety of scenarios. Our driving principles as we do this work are two-fold:
- Follow all medical and scientific guidelines to do everything possible to ensure the safety of our community.
- Provide the highest quality educational experience possible for all of our students K-12.
NYSED Reopening Guidance
On Thursday, July 16, the New York State Education Department released guidance to help schools and school districts as they plan to reopen, whether that occurs in person, remotely, or in a combination of the two. Read the guidance document.
District Reopening Survey
As the district continues to plan for the reopening of schools, we are asking our district families to please fill out this short survey by Wednesday, July 22. Your answers will help guide and inform our decisions surrounding the reopening of schools. Families only need to complete one survey. *Please note: If you have more than 5 children in the district, you will need to take the survey again for any additional children.
Parent Advisory Council (PAC) Meetings
Parent Advisory Council meetings are held on Thursday nights at 7 p.m. As the district plans for the reopening of schools, parents, guardians and community members are invited to view these meetings via livestream where the plans will be discussed.
