Regents Exams & End of Year Info – REVISED May 26

NOTE:

Revisions have been made which include the Physics Regents (it originally was not listed on one list). It will be held on June 23.  The Earth Science Regents will be held on June 17. Teachers will inform students of the date and time of the school final exams.

Dear North Colonie Families:

As you are aware, the end of the year calendar is largely influenced by the New York State Regents Examination schedule and the state rules regarding the required 180 days of instruction. Typically in North Colonie, per New York State regulation, Regents exam days and Regents Rating day are counted toward 180 days of instruction for grades 9-12.

Below is the Regents exam schedule.

• Monday, June 1^st: CANCELLED US History & Government (framework)
• Wednesday, June 15^th: AM:  English Language Arts  PM: Living Environment
• Thursday, June 16:   AM:  Algebra I  PM: Physical Setting/Chemistry
• Friday, June 17^th:  AM:  Global History & Geography II PM: Physical Setting/Earth Science
• Monday, June 20^th:  Juneteenth Holiday Observed
• Tuesday, June 21^st:   AM:  Geometry   AM & PM: World Language Assessment
• Wednesday, June 22^nd : AM: Algebra II
• Thursday, June 23^rd:  AM: Physical Setting/Physics
• Friday, June 24^th:  Regents Rating Day

In order to meet state guidelines for allowable days of instruction, the following will be our end of the year schedule.

• Wednesday, June 15^th, English Language Arts Regents/ Living Environment Regents
  • K-5: regular schedule
  • 6-8: regular schedule
  • 9-12: only those students taking the school finals and Regents exam in school
• Thursday, June 16^th, Algebra I Regents/ Physical Setting/Chemistry Regents

  • 9-12: only those students taking the school finals and Regents exam in school
