Happy Holidays from Superintendent Kathleen Skeals

Dear North Colonie Central School District Families,

As the year draws to a close and we approach the holiday break, I want to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. This season is a special time, one that often brings a sense of reflection and anticipation.

First and foremost, this time of year is an opportunity to spend cherished moments with family and friends. Whether it’s sharing stories around the dinner table, playing in the snow, or simply enjoying one another’s company, these moments are invaluable. They strengthen the bonds of community and family, which are the cornerstones of our district’s strength.

Additionally, this season is a reminder of the spirit of giving. It’s heartwarming to see our students, staff, and families engage in various acts of kindness, from helping those in need to expressing gratitude to those around us. Donations to the district have helped us provide for more than 300 families in need for the holidays. These kinds of acts, big or small, make a significant impact on our community and exemplify the values we hold dear in North Colonie.

As we look forward to the New Year, I am filled with excitement and optimism. The New Year is a time of new beginnings and growth. We have seen remarkable achievements from our students throughout the first part of the school year and I am confident that 2024 will be no different. Our commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for our students remains steadfast. We eagerly anticipate the continued growth and accomplishments of our students in the coming year.

I wish you all a restful and joyous holiday break. May this time be filled with love, laughter, and the creation of wonderful memories. Here’s to a fantastic New Year filled with hope, happiness, and continued success for our students and our community.

Happy Holidays,

Kathleen Skeals
North Colonie Superintendent
