5430, Student Psychological Services

The Board of Education recognizes the need to provide psychological services to those students in need of such services. The district shall employ certified school psychologists to perform such services and/or make referrals to community agencies or mental health specialists when deemed appropriate.

The Board also recognizes the need to provide relevant psychological testing for certain students. In order to administer such tests, there must be a written referral by the Pupil Service Team and written permission from parents/guardians of students who are under the age of eighteen.
