0200, School District Goals and Objectives

Educational Goals

Through pursuit of our educational goals, we intend to assist the children of the district to become mature human beings who are sensitive to their neighbors, who seek beauty and purpose in life, and who are capable of attaining personal fulfillment. Our goals are to develop in each student:

  1. A mastery of the basic skills of reading, English language and mathematics
  2. An interest, curiosity and excitement about learning
  3. A capacity for intellectual and physical work
  4. A desire to make positive contributions to their society and country
  5. An understanding and appreciation of humanity, its history and its natural and social sciences
  6. An awareness and appreciation of the many forms of creativity and beauty in our culture
  7. A self-respect conducive to maintaining physical, mental and emotional health
  8. A commitment to ethical and moral principles which enable one to function in a free and democratic society

Management Goals

Our management strives to be prudent in utilizing the resources of the school district while supporting the district’s educational goals. Our goals are to develop and maintain:

  1. Cost-effective educational and support programs
  2. Cost-consciousness among employees and resident awareness of the sources of revenues and the purpose of expenditures
  3. High productivity in the employees of the district
  4. A public relations program which regularly provides and receives information for the improvement of the programs and services of the district.

Community Service Goals

Through service to the community, we intend to assist in the development of a community which is mentally, physically and culturally vigorous. Our goals are to develop and maintain:

  1. A continuing education program which encourages residents in life-long educational and avocational activities
  2. A social and health-related program which assists residents in meeting each other and in caring for themselves
  3. Cooperative interaction between the school districts and other governments such as town, country and state
