Science Research Students Make a Showing

Shaker middle and high school science research students walked away from the Greater Capital Region Science and Engineering Fair March 18 with a lengthy list of awards and honors.

“The GCRSEF (RPI) Science Fair is one of the Capital Region’s most prestigious science competitions that affords local students a platform to showcase their diverse research projects,” said Nathaniel Covert, SHS science teacher. “Shaker’s students performed amazingly and I am incredibly proud of their efforts. Although it is one afternoon, the true magnitude of effort from the student can be overlooked.

“Shakers student projects have taken months, if not years of dedicated work to reach completion,” he added. “It is refreshing to see the competing students rewarded for their hardwork and dedication through their success in this fair.”
