School Spirit Abounds at 4th & 5th Grade XC Race

Hundreds of North Colonie CSD parents and community spectators took to the fields at the Colonie Town Park earlier this week to cheer on the 4th and 5th graders in their annual XC Race.

Students from Blue Creek, Boght Hills, Forts Ferry, Latham Ridge, Loudonville, and Southgate elementary schools participated in a one-mile run.

School spirit was in full force with students wearing school colors and t-shirts.

“Today is a beautiful day. I love the fact that we are all back together again as a school community to events like the elementary cross country meet,” said North Colonie Superintendent D. Joseph Corr, who had the honor of starting each race with the firing of the starter pistol. “Cross country is something very dear to me. I coached cross country and track at North Colonie in my earlier years. I think it’s such a great sport.”

Below are the top three students for each race. We’re still compiling the placement times for all of our runners and those will be posted soon.

Congrats to all of the participants!
