The Board of Education recognizes that the North Colonie School District Food and Nutrition Services Department and cafeterias play an integral role in the students’ educational day. The Board shall therefore provide adequate facilities, resources and personnel for all elementary and secondary students in the District schools in order to ensure that the Food and Nutrition Services Department can achieve the goal of meeting the students’ nutritional needs.
All food and nutrition activities shall be under the direction and supervision of the Director of Food Services and his/her staff. The North Colonie School District Food and Nutrition Program shall be operated in the most economical and efficient manner given the students’ needs and the District’s resources.
