5620, Pregnant Students

a. When any professional staff member receives information indicating that a student is pregnant, the staff member shall notify the student’s counselor who shall notify the Hall Principal and the school nurse.

b. The counselor will confer with the student and her parents/guardians.

c. Parents will be advised by the student’s counselor of the availability of home instruction.

d. The student’s physician will determine the duration of home instruction; if needed, the school physician will be available to consult regarding the duration of home instruction.
