A total of 34 Shaker High School art students have been recognized for high achievement in the Scholastics Art & Writing Awards sponsored by the Alliance for Young Artists. The students received a total of 25 Honorable Mentions, 14 Silver Key Awards, and 16 Gold Key Awards, for a total of 55 visual art honors.
"We are very proud of their technically strong, conceptually rich artwork, and the support of the department art teachers for providing them such a strong foundation," said District Supervisor for Visual & Media Arts Anne M. Manzella.
