Shaker High School student artists were recognized at Hartwick College as part of the Principles: 8th Annual Regional High School Art Show, presented by the Hartwick College Art and Art History Department in the Foreman Gallery.
The regional exhibition features artwork from 10 area high schools and includes 109 works created by 126 students in a wide range of media. The show also highlights a collaborative wire sculpture created by 27 students.
Shaker High School students whose artwork is featured in the exhibition include Rowan Bach, Leila Bauscher-Butler, Jillian Carrothers, Samantha D’Amico, Kyra Etienne-Maitre, Megan Goslow, Zachary Krone, Jack Laird, Lauren Lee-Chung, Annabelle McCauley, Larissa Newell, Nolan Parra, Trinity Pitts, Lauren Schulte, Alina Shargorotski, Alina Song, Kaia Thompson, and Madelyn Veino.
The exhibition was open to the public daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Tuesday, Jan. 20. A closing reception was held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, as part of Hartwick’s Art Discovery Day, welcoming more than 100 students and teachers for studio tours and hands-on art activities.
