On Tuesday, May 20, North Colonie residents approved the district’s $155.2 million budget for 2025-26 with 937 yes votes to 267 no votes.

Results were announced at the North Colonie Central Office shortly after the polls closed at 9 p.m. The results show 78% of voters supported the budget.

The $155.2 million budget has a tax levy increase of 3.00 percent, below the allowable tax cap. The district will set its final tax rate for the 2025-26 school year in August, based on final assessment figures as provided by the Town of Colonie.

“We are so grateful to have community support for the 2025-26 budget. I want to thank everyone who has worked so hard to create a fiscally responsible budget that will continue to support the students of this district while also maintaining all of our current programs,” said North Colonie Superintendent Kathleen Skeals.
