Southgate Student Wins Free College for Getting the COVID-19 Vaccine — How You Can Too

A sixth grade North Colonie student who got the COVID-19 vaccination, entered the state contest to get a full-ride scholarship, and won!

Adam Judson will receive free tuition, room and board, books and supplies to any New York State public college or university for four years. After getting the vaccination, his parents entered him into the “Get a Shot to Make Your Future” incentive for New Yorkers ages 12-17 who have been vaccinated.

Every Wednesday, for five weeks, ten students will be chosen in a lottery. This week was the first drawing so there are still 40 more students who will be granted a free higher learning scholarship just for being vaccinated. Here’s the link to register if your 12-17 year old child has at least received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose.
