Congratulations to Southgate Elementary Art Teacher Mary Beth Aldous, who was named the Region 6 Art Teacher of the Year by the New York State Art Teachers Association (NYSATA)!
Mrs. Aldous was honored at NYSATA’s annual convention in Binghamton in November, where she was also a presenter on the topics of Adaptive Art Instruction and Digital Instruction Strategies. In North Colonie, Mrs. Aldous has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the new Innovation curriculum modules for the district’s 5th grade students and has been a trainer for other elementary art teachers.
