Public Hearing on School Budget, Meet the BOE Candidates, And Absentee Ballot Applications

This Wednesday, May 5, at 7:00 p.m, North Colonie Central School District will conduct a public hearing on the proposed $124,977,067 budget for the 2021-22 school year. We encourage all voters to attend and ask questions concerning the budget by using this link to access the live stream of the public hearing. If you have questions you would like to submit about the proposed budget ahead of time, send them to communications@NColonie.org.

Also at this public hearing, four candidates who are running for two seats on the Board of Education will introduce themselves and explain why they wish to serve. If you can’t attend while it is live, the link can also be used to view the recording of the hearing.

Qualified North Colonie residents will have the opportunity to vote on the school budget and Board of Education candidates on Tuesday, May 18, from 6AM to 9PM, at the Goodrich Building, at 91 Fiddlers Lane. 

Voters can cast an absentee ballot if out of town or unable to vote in person due to illness, disability, duties related to the primary care of ill or disabled individuals, being admitted to and a patient in the hospital, or the risk of transmission of COVID-19. You must complete an application to receive an absentee ballot. 

Request for absentee ballot applications must be received by the District Clerk by: 

  • May 11, 2021 if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter.

  • May 17, 2021 if the ballot is to be delivered personally to the voter.
