Congratulations to Chris Marsh and Peter Gannon who completed the NYC Marathon this weekend! Mr. Marsh, a physical education teacher at Forts Ferry Elementary finished the 26.2 mile race in 3 hours, 9 minutes, and 31 seconds. Mr. Gannon, a Shaker alumni, finished in 5 hours, 6 minutes, and 58 seconds. Marsh and Gannon were two of five runners to raise more than $30,000 for the Double H Ranch as part of the race. The Double H Ranch is a non-profit organization that provides specialized programs and year-round support for children and their families dealing with life-threatening illnesses.
