Forts Ferry physical education teacher Chris Marsh is getting ready to run his first marathon, the New York City Marathon, on Sunday, November 5th. He will be among 50,000 runners to toe the starting line, but is one of only five running on behalf of the Double H Ranch. The not-for-profit organization has been named an official charity partner of the marathon and Marsh has already surpassed his fundraising goal of $5,000 for the organization which is near and dear to his heart. This is the inaugural year for “Team Double H” which provides year-round programs to children and their families living with serious illnesses.
