registration information
Registration is for North Colonie residents only.
Middle School registration is completed separately by 6th, 7th, and 8th grade counselors. Middle school counselors will sign students up for their subjects. All information (student schedules and bus routes) will be communicated to families.
Shaker High School registration will be held on June 27th from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. & July 1 from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the counseling center and conference room. School counselors will be available to briefly answer questions and meet with parents and students as needed.

summer curriculum & instruction
North Colonie will provide an active, engaging, hands-on summer learning program that encourages student participation, ownership, and choice throughout summer learning. Students will engage in collaborative learning that incorporates listening, problem-solving, inquiry, reflection, and the opportunity to master skills or competencies through practice. Courses will be delivered by certified classroom teachers with curriculum that aligns to NYS learning standards. Courses with culminating Regents exams will include integrated Regents preparation.

regents boot camp
Regents Boot Camp will run from August 12 – August 15. Students enrolled in credit recovery for regents bearing courses are encouraged to take the full summer program. You may register to attend Regents Boot Camp if you choose not to complete summer school course credit recovery.
attendance & Code of conduct

Students may not miss more than 3 days of summer school. Students who miss more than 3 days will be subject to makeup hours. Excessive tardiness will be addressed and subject to makeup time as well.
Code of Conduct
No smoking, vaping, possession of weapons, illegal drugs or alcoholic beverages. Violence or any disruptive behavior is not permitted at any time. Offenders will be dropped from the summer school program. Summer school is a closed campus. Students are not allowed out of the building between classes. All North Colonie Central School District Code of Conduct regulations will be enforced. Students are expected to bring charged Chromebooks daily.
