Update: Boght Hills water testing

| November 28, 2016

Update to previous article

Water quality testing results were received on September 28 for Boght Hills. Of the 91 samples drawn at Boght Hills, one tested above the allowable 15 parts per billion as per the new regulations:

  • Room 1 Sink, 16 PPB

All sources of water, whether they are used for drinking or not, are being tested throughout the district. The State Department of Health and State Education Department have established an action level threshold of 15 parts per billion. Water sources that test higher must be immediately taken out of service and corrective action must be taken. Following remediation, a re-test was performed for this location and came back negative; the sink has since re-opened.

As we have said before, please be assured the district will continue to take the necessary steps to ensure the quality of drinking water throughout our district meets the state regulations. We will keep you informed as we continue to receive the results of the ongoing water testing at our schools.
