Three members of the Boght Hills school community test positive for COVID-19

Dear North Colonie Community,

The North Colonie Central School District has confirmed that three members of the Boght Hills school community have tested positive for COVID-19. The individuals who tested positive have been placed in isolation and will not return to school until they are cleared by the health department. As a reminder, based on a recommendation from the Albany County Department of Health made on Oct. 23, Boght Hills was closed for a two week period from Monday, Oct. 26 through Friday, Nov. 6. In-person classes are scheduled to resume on Monday, Nov. 9.

We have been in contact with the Albany County Department of Health and identified each individual’s close contacts at the school. The health department will reach out to members of the school community who were in close contact with these individuals. The health department will advise on the need to quarantine and to facilitate testing of those potentially exposed.

We continue to work closely with the Albany County Department of Health and we will follow their guidance on how to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment.

If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s school principal.

Sincerely,

D. Joseph Corr
Superintendent of Schools
