Three individuals in school community test positive for COVID-19

Dear North Colonie Community,

The North Colonie Central School District has confirmed three new cases of COVID-19 in our school community. The cases include:

  • An individual associated with the Shaker High School remote learning program who has not been in any of our buildings at all this school year.
  • An individual associated with the Shaker High School remote learning program who has not been in any of our buildings at all this school year.
  • An individual associated with grades 7-8 in the high school building. There are no school contacts as the individual was last in the building on Thursday, Nov. 24.

We have confirmed these cases with Albany County Department of Health and can report that none of these cases has close contacts in the school community.

We continue to work closely with the Albany County DOH and follow their guidance each time our district has a positive case. Read more information on quarantine protocols and isolation protocols from the Albany County DOH.
