District Statement on Student Death

The North Colonie Central School District extends its condolences to the family and friends of Farhan Afzal, who recently passed away.

Farhan was known for his origami art pieces, specifically cranes. In a tribute display at the Shaker High School Art Gallery, the cranes that Farhan created are hanging in unison with cranes made by Shaker High School art students. A video of the cranes can be found here. A moment of silence was held during the March 5 morning announcements.
