SJHS Student Drop-Off Information for the 2018-19 school year
Above is a schematic diagram of the newly renovated parking lot and bus loop area at Shaker Junior High School. Parents are asked to note the traffic flow when dropping off students in the morning.
The bus loop is the exterior route, marked by light blue arrows. Parents need to stay out of this loop in the morning between 6:45 and 7:45 AM and at dismissal between 2:00 and 2:30 PM.
The parent drop-off route is marked with red arrows. Please follow this route when dropping off students in the morning, do not cut through the parking area to save time. Parents can drop off students anywhere along the newly constructed sidewalk, not only at the main entrance crosswalk; kids should then walk to a designated crosswalk to enter school and not cut through the bus loop.
We will all have a much safer parking/walking area if the traffic flow patterns are followed. Everyone’s attention to detail will be very much appreciated!
