SJHS MATHCOUNT team places 13th at state competition

The SJHS MATHCOUNT team placed 13th out of 43 teams at the state competition that was held at RPI in Troy on March 9th. Four students competed: Andrew Kang, Connor Mitchell, Harry Shen, and Ivyann Shen. Andrew, an 8th grader, placed 112th in the state, Connor, a 7th grader, placed 130th, Harry, an 8th graders, placed 9th in the state overall and 5th in the countdown round, and Ivyann, an 8th graders, placed 46th.

The state competition included 197 participants from grades 6 through 8 from across New York State. Congratulations to our students on their accomplishments!
