Six individuals in school community test positive for COVID-19

Dear North Colonie Community,

Today, Wednesday, Jan. 27, the North Colonie Central School District has confirmed six new cases of COVID-19 in our school community. The cases by building include:

Shaker Junior High School (Gr. 7-8)

  • An individual associated with grades 7-8 in the high school building who was last in on Wednesday, Jan. 20; all contacts have been notified.

Shaker High School

  • An individual associated with grades 9-12 who was last in the building on Monday, Jan. 25; all contacts have been notified.
  • An individual associated with the grades 9-12 remote learning program; no school contacts.
  • An individual associated with grades 9-12 who was last in the building on Friday, January 15; no school contacts.

Southgate

  • An individual associated with the Southgate K-3 remote learning program; no school contacts.

Grades 4-6 Intermediate School

  • An individual associated with grades 4-6 in the junior high school building (not tied to a specific school wing) who was last in the building on Tuesday, Jan. 26; all contacts have been notified.
