On May 27, Shaker High School sent six startup teams composed of Engineering Capstone and Business students to compete in the High School Business Plan Competition. The competition was sponsored by the Center for Economic Growth, and was held at Siena College. 18 teams from throughout the northeast presented innovative ideas and how they would develop a business to sell their product.
Shaker won several awards at the competition, including second place for team “PACAS”. The team was composed of Kevin Lindsay, Brennan Jelstrom and Sean Stiso. Other award recipients included team “WARN”, composed of Ezra Goldmeer, Christian Schupp, and Zachary Riss for “Best Positioning Statement”. Team “KP Solutions”, composed of Nick Phillips, Evan Kananis, and Inas Abdul, won “Most Globally Oriented”. Congratulations to all of our students!
