SHS students compete at NYS High School Business Plan Competition

Six teams from Shaker’s Engineering Capstone and Business class participated in the NYS High School Business Plan Competition at Siena College in May. Congratulations to:

• First place: Team “Allergese”: Ryan LaBerge, Joe Clausi and Zev Siegfeild
• Third place: Team “FireTech”: Andrew Bennett, Steven Yu and Nikhil Mehta
• Specialty award: Team “UV Cleanse”: Faiyai Khan, Jeremy Chen and Frank Aiello 

“I would like to congratulate the students and thank all district employees who took the time to fill out the Capstone Engineering Product Surveys,” said Eric Phillips, Supervisor of Career and Technical Education. “Product discovery and the associated data is an important part of every business plan. The teams did an outstanding job.”
