SHS, SJHS and Blue Creek Lockout Lifted

As of approximately 8:20 this morning, the Shaker Junior High School was placed in lockout in response to a district official receiving information about a concern regarding a student. The Colonie Police were immediately called to investigate the matter. In an abundance of caution, Blue Creek Elementary School and Shaker High School were also placed in lockout. A lockout means individuals are not allowed to enter or exit the buildings. Students were in their classrooms with their teachers and classroom activities continued as usual. The instructional day continued without significant disruption. As of 9:41 this morning, the lockout was lifted as the investigation was concluded and the concern was addressed.
