Cat completed the New York City Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 3 and placed 26th out of 59 in her age group, with a finish time of 4:43:22.

Cat ran in honor of Best Buddies, an international nonprofit organization that creates opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Cat also ran in honor of her best buddy since first grade, Hank Masson. Cat and Hank met through the Best Buddies program in North Colonie when they were both students at Southgate. Hank, along with his parents, attended the board meeting to support Cat. The pair performed their “secret handshake” and Hank also presented Cat with a beautiful bouquet of flowers.

Congratulations, Cat! The entire North Colonie community is so proud of you!
