The Southgate School community devoted some time on Friday, February 9 to participate in PS I Love You Day.

This is a day set aside to encourage positive moves in decreasing bullying and promoting mental health awareness. The event originated on Long Island in 2010 with 180 schools, including SG, participating this year.

South Gate used the P.S. I Love You Day to segue into its “Wellness Week” that has been occurring throughout the week of February 12.

The hope is to merge mental health and physical health together for overall wellness! Buddies (older and younger students) joined in a fun activity to encourage and demonstrate their appreciation of each other and help everyone feel valued.
