During the month of March, Boght Hills Elementary students will be engaging in a read-a-thon to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House, which provides an atmosphere for families who want to be near their child during an extended stay at the hospital. Specifically, at Albany Medical Center, there is a Ronald McDonald Family Room which serves this purpose. Ronald himself visited Boght Hills students to encourage them to keep reading and to thank them for getting sponsors in support of the school’s fundraiser. “Thank you for reading with your children each day and thank you for helping others during a difficult time in their lives,” said Principal Kim Greiner. “That’s what Boght Hills, the Kindness Connection, is all about!”

*Students should return their collection envelopes to the main office by April 8th. An update will be posted with a final fundraiser total.
