Residents to vote on school budget and Board of Education candidates May 21

On Tuesday, May 21, 2019, residents in the North Colonie Central School District will vote on the $116,318,100 budget proposal for the 2019-20 school year. Residents will vote on the proposal from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. in the North Colonie Central Office (Goodrich), 91 Fiddlers Lane.

For the fifth consecutive year, continued growth in the taxable values due to new residential and commercial construction will keep the individual tax rate increase to an estimated 1.9 percent.

In addition to the budget proposal, voters will elect two candidates to five-year terms on the Board of Education. The open seat of current board member Pennie Grinnell is uncontested. The open seat of Avideh Sadaghiani has one candidate running, Matthew Cannon.
