photo of Bill EdwardsLongtime treasurer of North Colonie Friends of Music Bill Edwards passed away peacefully on March 3rd. Bill worked as a certified public accountant for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling, working outside in the yard, attending his kids’ music concerts, and sipping tea while reading the newspaper. He was an honorary member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society for his contributions as Treasurer  of the North Colonie Friends of Music for over a decade, and incredibly active at his parish.

The North Colonie Music Department is exceptionally grateful for Bill’s many contributions to North Colonie Friends of Music and the district music program. Shaker High School Ava Vocal Group performed “How Great Thou Art” at Bill’s calling hours, and a group of North Colonie music teachers performed “Homeward Bound” at his funeral.

“He was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known and incredibly generous of spirit,” said North Colonie District Music Supervisor Deb Keough. “I think many people think about giving in small increments of time, while Bill gave everything he could to kids, through his church, and through North Colonie Friends of Music.”
