No “Fallin” for Madison VanDenburg; SHS junior powers into Top 10 on “American Idol”

| April 16, 2019

For the first time, Madison VanDenburg faced America instead of just the judges on “American Idol”, and the Shaker High School junior did not disappoint. Belting out Alicia Keys’ “Fallin” Sunday night, Madison earned enough votes from viewers to power her into the Top 10, bypassing the need for a save from one of the show’s judges. She didn’t even have to wait long for the news Monday night, as she was the first one told she was safe. The judges still had her perform Lady Gaga’s “Yoü and I” after learning she was safe.

Madison takes on the rest of the Top 10 Easter Sunday, April 21, at 8:00 p.m. where all members will perform and learn who will be moving on in ONE two hour show. Two more performers will be eliminated to form the “American Idol” finalists.

You can watch Madison’s most recent performances below. Good luck, Madison! Your Shaker family is rooting, and voting, for you!
