Loudonville sixth grader Vidhi Jain has article published in New Moon Girls magazine

Loudonville sixth grader Vidhi Jain can now add published author to her list of accomplishments. Vidhi’s article about her involvement in the Tri-City Indian Cultural Association (TRICA, pronounced /trisha/) dance program was published in the September-October 2019 edition of New Moon Girls. New Moon Girls is a magazine run by girls, made for tween and teen girls, where they can share their real lives, problems, dreams and challenges. 

Vidhi is an English language learner in the district’s ENL program and applied to write articles for the magazine during the summer of 2018 with the help of her ENL teacher, Bonny Einstein. Vidhi then worked on an article she received as her reporting assignment from NMG’s editor, Helen Cordes, from October 2018 to May 2019, at least once a week.
