Latham Ridge students explore during annual STEAM Day
Latham Ridge students got to explore the environment, virtual reality, and coding during the school’s 2nd Annual STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) Day. Students rotated between more than a dozen stations including crime scene investigating, working with robots, making “wearable” art, and other handmade crafts.
“We are always looking for ways to provide the most relevant and meaningful instruction to our students,” said building principal Aaron Thiell. “It’s a great day for all the kids.” The program, in its second year, is planned to continue annually.
Mr. Thiell also thanked the teachers and planning team who put the STEAM Day together, and also thanked the community organizations that helped students experience a variety of things.
