Latham Ridge fourth grader honored as October Kids Care recipient

Latham Ridge fourth grader Diesel Peterson was honored as the October Kids Care recipient at the board of education meeting on Monday, Oct. 21. Diesel recently researched different kinds of renewable energy, along with its benefits, and presented what he learned to his class. He now hopes that Latham Ridge will eventually be able to implement solar panels at the school.

“You are doing important work and we are so proud of you,” Board President Linda Harrison said as she presented Diesel with a certificate.

Diesel was joined by his mother, four of his teachers, Latham Ridge Principal Aaron Thiell and several other administrators.
