Individual associated with remote learning program tests positive for COVID-19

Dear North Colonie Families,

The North Colonie Central School District learned today, Tuesday, Oct. 13, that a member of the North Colonie school community has tested positive for COVID-19. This individual is associated with our remote school program and has not been in any of our buildings at all this school year.

Please note that the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Anyone who has been in close contact with this individual outside of school will be directly contacted by the local health department to discuss how long/if they should quarantine and other health-related instructions.

We will continue to share information with you when a new case occurs in our district. We continue to work closely with the local health departments and we will follow their guidance.
