Individual in Boght Hills school community tests positive for COVID-19

| December 4, 2020

Dear North Colonie Community,

The North Colonie Central School District has confirmed today, Friday, Dec. 4, that an individual in the Boght Hills K-3 school community has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual was last in the building on Tuesday, Dec. 1.

We have been in contact with the Albany County Department of Health and identified the individual’s close contacts in the school community. Anyone who has been in close contact with the individual has been directly contacted by a school administrator to discuss quarantine procedures and other health-related instructions. A call from the New York State Department of Health contact tracers will follow.

At this time, all of our elementary school buildings remain open for in-person learning with our students in grades 7-12 continuing with remote learning through Tuesday, December 8. As a reminder, each of our school buildings is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected each evening in accordance with guidance from the CDC and the New York State Department of Health.

Please reach out to your child’s principal if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

D. Joseph Corr
Superintendent of Schools
