Free College Credit, Team Asset & Weekly Boost

Dear North Colonie Families,

We’ve had many challenges throughout the year, but with a strong community such as ours, we have managed to pull each other through. There is a lot to be proud of. We are not out of the woods yet with this pandemic, but hope is on the horizon and we have been inspired by the words and actions of our students, teachers, staff, and parents.

Thank you for your vote of confidence in our ability to lead our schools. The district’s proposed budget for the 2021-22 school year passed with a 74% approval rate. It was heartening to read the results to our community after all the ballots were tallied Tuesday night.

Voters also elected current board member Mary Nardolillo and newcomer Nicholas Comproski to serve five-year terms on the Board of Education starting July 1, 2021. Mrs. Nardolillo ran unopposed. Mr. Comproski, who will fill the open seat of W. Ronald Von Dell, had two opponents, Mary Alber and Fox Fox Rifenberg-Stempel. Read more details about the vote totals in a web post from election night.

The Exceptional Drive of Yadi Goes Further Than Behind the Wheel

Yadiris (Yadi) Rodriguez, a beloved driver for North Colonie School district for five years, has shown great care in providing safe transportation for our students. Since emigrating to the United States 10 years ago, her ambition and kindness has really taken her places. That is why it is no surprise that Mrs. Rodriguez is the recipient of a scholarship from the Capital Area Chapter of the New York Association for Pupil Transportation. She will attend the School Bus Driver Instructor course, as well as attendance to the annual NYAPT Summer Conference and a one year membership to the Capital Area Chapter meetings series.
