Four Individuals in School Community Test Positive for COVID-19

Dear North Colonie Community,

Today, Monday, March 29, the North Colonie Central School District confirmed four new cases of COVID-19 in our school community. 

Shaker High School

  • An individual associated with the 9-12 remote learning program at Shaker High School; no school contacts.
  • An individual associated with the 9-12 learning community at Shaker High School who was last in the building on 3/16/21; no school contacts.

Shaker Junior High School

  • An individual associated with the 7-8 learning community at Shaker High School who was last in the building on 3/25; contacts have been notified.

Boght Hills

  • An individual associated with the 4-6 learning community at Shaker Junior High School who was last in the building on 3/26; contacts have been notified.
  • Through our contact tracing, we were able to determine that there was another individual who was presumed positive, although not yet confirmed. After consultation with Albany County Department of Health, we have also notified the contacts of the presumed positive and followed through with our quarantine process.
