Capital Project will change walking path for students at Blue Creek, SJHS, SHS
As the district continues its ongoing Capital Project, parents and students at Blue Creek Elementary, Shaker Junior High, and Shaker High should be aware of changes to how students will be able to walk to those schools throughout the year.
As shown in the above picture, the walking path from Caroline Street to campus will be CLOSED. No passage through that pathway will be allowed while construction is ongoing. Parents and students are reminded to respect construction areas at all times and not walk through areas that are gated or fenced off.
Walking students will be able to access campus via the Eva Street and Theresa Street entrance. They will then need to proceed around Blue Creek Elementary on the marked path to the Junior High School and High School. There will be no cut-through path directly to the High School.
In November 2018, there will be more changes to this walking path, and changes will be communicated to families at that time.
Thank you for your help and cooperating in keeping our students safe as we continue to move forward with this project that will give our students the space and resources they need to be successful in their academic careers. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the main office of your student’s building.
