Brian Dineen named new District Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation
During the August 9 Special Board of Education meeting, Mr. Brian Dineen was appointed as the new District Director of Teaching, Learning, and Innovation. This is a new administrative position created with the approval of the 2018-19 school budget reporting directly to Deputy Superintendent Kathy Skeals, and will work with our K-12 supervisors and other administrators to ensure the district’s educational programs meet the needs of all students across all grades and buildings.
Mr. Dineen has been with the North Colonie Central School District since 2013, holding a number of administrative roles such as Special Education Supervisor for District of Location students, Special Education Supervisor at Shaker High School, and Assistant Director of Pupil Services. Prior to joining North Colonie, Mr. Dineen served as Elementary principal at Cobleskill-Richmondville and was an elementary teacher.
“Mr. Dineen has demonstrated outstanding leadership in the Pupil Services department and continues to grow new programs,” said Superintendent Joseph Corr. “He has shown that he is thoughtful and insightful when it comes to curriculum and instruction but most importantly, he truly embodies our District’s mission. He is a true advocate for educating the whole child and he has a singular focus when it comes to doing what is in the best interest of our students.”
