2022-23 Blue Creek School Supply List

Kindergarten

The following is a list of supplies your child will need for Kindergarten. Please label everything with your student’s first and last name. For a printable 22-23 Kindergarten supply list.

  • 1 composition notebook to be used as a journal (labeled with first and last name)
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 1 hard plastic pencil box, 8 x 5 x 2.5 (approx..)
  • 1 pair of scissors (blunt tip)
  • 2 Sharpened #2 Pencils (12 ct)
  • 2 (24) count Crayons 4 Large Glue Sticks 2 Highlighters
  • 1 Box of Markers 8 or 10 count (Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Sosiak)
  • 1 Box of colored pencils (Mrs. Connors)
  • 2 Dry Erase Markers
  • 1 Box of Ziploc bags (quart or gallon)
  • 1 Non-rolling backpack (big enough to fit a full size folder)
  • A change of clothes in a plastic bag (labeled with first and last name)
  • 1 4×6 picture of your child (labeled on back with first and last name)
  • 2 Can of Play-doh
  • 1 pack of baby wipes
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day

 

1st Grade

We are looking forward to a fun filled year in first grade. Listed below are items your child will need. For a printable 22-23 Grade 1 supply list.

  • 4 Elmer’s Large Washable Glue Sticks
  • A box of 24 ct. Crayola crayons Markers (8 pack)
  • 1 (2 pocket) folder
  • 1 pair of 5” blunt tip scissors
  • 1 easy to open pencil and supply case to store materials with a lid that closes (hard plastic cases
    seem to work best) Mrs. Wozniak and Mrs. Downey
  • 2 cans of Play-Doh
  • 2 Dozen sharpened #2 pencils
  • 1 container of unscented baby wipes
  • 4 Expo Dry Erase Marker, Chisel Tip, Black
  • 2 Boxes Kleenex Tissues
  • 1 box of gallon or sandwich sized Ziploc bags
  • Sock or cloth to use as an eraser for a whiteboard
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day Headphones to use with
    chromebooks

PLEASE LABEL EVERYTHING – SUPPLIES WILL BE KEPT SEPARATE FOR EACH CHILD

First graders have a mid-morning snack time each day. Please send a nutritious, NUT FREE snack and drink. If your child’s snack requires a spoon or fork, please send one in. 

2nd Grade

The following is a list of materials your child will need in second grade. We would like the children to bring them on the first day of school.

  • (3) 2-pocket plastic folder without clasps (red, green, yellow)
  • 24 ct Crayola crayons
  • 12 ct Crayola colored pencils (Mrs. Scherzer and Mrs. Capone only)
  • 1 pack Fine tip Expo dry erase markers, 4 ct. (Black)
  • 1 black marble composition books, wide rule
  • 1 subject spiral notebook, wide rule
  • 5″ blunt scissors
  • 4 boxes yellow sharpened pencils, 12 ct
  • 4 small washable glue sticks
  • 1 plastic pencil box – 5″ x 8″ (Mrs. Scherzer and Mrs. Proctor only)
  • 1 – 80 ct. baby wipes
  • 1 box tissues
  • 1 hand sanitizer
  • Headphones (Mrs. Scherzer and Mrs. Proctor only)

We have snack every day. Please send in a healthy, peanut free snack and drink.

3rd Grade

School Basics: Please label the following items with your child’s first and last name in permanent marker. We will not be sharing any items. Your child will keep these items in their desk and/or cubby. For a printable 22-23 Grade 3 supply list.

  • Headphones (no earbuds please)
  • A rectangular, plastic pencil box
  • 3, two-pocket plastic folder without clasps (Red, Green, Blue)
  • 2 marble composition notebooks, wide rule
  • One box of crayons
  • One box of fine line markers
  • Scissors: 5’’ pointed tip works best
  • 1 Yellow Highlighter: chisel tip works best
  • Pack of eraser caps
  • 3 boxes sharpened #2 pencils with erasers
  • 2 large washable glue sticks
  • 6 black dry erase markers: chisel tip work best
  • Water bottle – (not stainless steel please . . . flip top water bottles preferred) bring it full to school each day

Please put the following items in your child’s pencil box:

  • 6 pencils, crayons, markers, 1 highlighter, scissors, 1 glue stick, 1 dry erase marker
  • Please keep the rest of the pencils, eraser caps, glue stick, and dry erase markers in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name to be kept in their cubby.

Also, please send one of the following:
1. Hand sanitizer: You may want your child to have their own hand sanitizer. Look for refillable keychains and containers that clip to their backpack. IMPORTANT: To be effective, hand sanitizer should be alcohol-based with at least 70% alcohol.

4th Grade

  • (6) 2-Pocket Writing Folders (1 Blue, 1 Green, 1 Red, 1 Yellow, 2 free choice) Prefer Plastic
  • No. 2 Pencils, sharpened, 12 ct. NO MECHANICAL PENCILS PLEASE
  • Eraser Caps, pink latex free, 12 ct.
  • 150 ct Wide Rule Filler Paper (3-hole punched)

5th Grade
