2020-21 Blue Creek School Supply List

Kindergarten Supply List

The following is a list of supplies your child will need for Kindergarten. Please label everything with your first and last name.

  • 1 composition notebook to be used as a journal (labeled with first and last name)
  • 2 boxes of tissues
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 2 Sharpened #2 Pencils (12 ct)
  • 2 (24) count Crayons
  • 4 Large Glue Sticks
  • 2 Highlighters
  • 1 Box of Markers 8 or 10 count (Mrs. Taylor and Ms. Sosiak)
  • 1 Box of colored pencils (Mrs. Connors)
  • 2 Dry Erase Markers
  • 1 Box of Ziploc bags (quart or gallon)
  • 1 Non-rolling backpack (big enough to fit a full size folder)
  • A change of clothes in a plastic bag (labeled with first and last name)
  • 1 4×6 picture of your child (labeled on back with first and last name)
  • 1 Can of Play-doh
  • 1 Extra Face Mask (in a sealed Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s first and last name)
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day
  • Towel – (old one is fine!) We will use these to sit on when class is outdoors. If you cannot provide this, let us know

Supplies for Art Class (Please place the following items in a separate Ziploc bag labeled with your child’s first and last name and “Art Supplies”)

  • 1 Folder (2 pocket)
  • 1 (16-24 pack) Crayons
  • 1 (Standard 10 pack) Markers
  • 1 Pencil
  • 1 Eraser
  • 1 Pair of Scissors
  • 2 Glue Sticks

1st Grade

We are looking forward to a fun-filled year in first grade. Listed below are items your child will need:

  • 4 Elmer’s Large Washable Glue Sticks
  • A box of 24 ct. Crayola crayons
  • Markers (8 pack)
  • 1 (2 pocket) folder
  • 1 pair of 5” blunt tip scissors
  • 1 easy to open pencil and supply case to store
    • Materials with a lid that closes (hard plastic cases seem to work best)
  • 1 can of Play-Doh
  • 2 Dozen sharpened #2 pencils
  • 1 container of unscented baby wipes
  • 2 Expo Dry Erase Marker, Chisel Tip, Black
  • 2 Boxes Kleenex Tissues
  • 1 box of gallon sized Ziploc bags
  • 1 box of sandwich sized Ziploc bags
  • Sock or cloth to use as an eraser for a whiteboard
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day
  • Towel – (old one is fine!) We will use these to sit on when class is outdoors. If you cannot provide this, let us know

Please label everything. Supplies will be kept separate for each child.

First graders have a mid-morning snack time each day. Please send a nutritious, nut free snack and drink. If your child’s snack requires a spoon or fork, please send one in.

2nd Grade

The following is a list of materials your child will need in second grade. We would like the children to bring them on the first day of school.

  • (4) 2-pocket plastic folder w/o clasps (red, green, yellow, blue)
  • 24 ct crayons
  • Markers (standard 10 pack)
  • 3 black marble composition books, wide rule
  • 1 spiral notebook, wide rule 5” blunt scissors
  • 4 boxes yellow sharpened pencils, 12 ct
  • 4 small washable glue sticks
  • 1 plastic pencil box – 5” x 8”
  • 1 hand-held pencil sharpener that holds the shavings
  • 1 – 80 ct. baby wipes
  • 1 box tissues
  • 1 hand sanitizer
  • 1 sandwich size storage bags, 50 ct. 1 gallon size storage bags, 50 ct.
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day
  • Towel – (old one is fine!) We will use these to sit on when class is outdoors. If you cannot provide this, let us know.

Please label everything. Supplies will be kept separate for each child.

We have snack every day. Please send in a healthy, peanut free snack and drink.

3rd Grade

Welcome to Third Grade! We understand recent events have been challenging for many families. Each year we ask for new school supplies to be used throughout the year for learning and projects. This year we ask that you bring in what you are able to, including gently used supplies from last year. We welcome supply donations- Please feel free to reach out to your teacher regarding supplies that are still needed for your child. Thank you.

  • Mask or face covering: Your child will wear one to school everyday. Please use permanent marker to label all masks with your child’s name, as well as to indicate the mask’s top, bottom, front and back.
  • Resealable bag or container for masks: Please label an empty bag or container for your child to store their primary mask in when they’re not wearing it (for example, while eating).
  • One or two spare masks: Send extra masks in a separate resealable bag or container to be kept in your child’s book bag, in case the mask your child starts out in breaks or gets dirty.
  • Tissues: Send your child to school with their own pocketsize packets of tissues, so they’re handy when they need to cover coughs and sneezes.

School Basics: Please label the following items with your child’s first and last name in permanent marker. We will not be sharing any items. Your child will keep these items in their desk and/or backpack.

  • A rectangular, plastic pencil box
  • Headphones: for Chromebook use
  • Five 2-pocket folder without clasps (Labeled as follows: Art, Math, ELA, Writing, Social St./Science)
  • Three marble composition notebooks, wide rule (Labeled: ELA, Writer’s Notebook, Social St./Science)
  • One box of crayons
  • One box washable markers
  • Scissors: 5’’ pointed tip works best
  • 1 Yellow Highlighter: chisel tip works best
  • Pack of eraser caps
  • 4 boxes sharpened #2 pencils with erasers
  • 2 large washable glue sticks
  • 6 black dry erase markers: chisel tip work best
  • 1 clean sock: to use as eraser
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day
  • Towel – (old one is fine!) We will use these to sit on when class is outdoors. If you cannot provide this, let us know.

Please put the following items in your child’s pencil box: 6 pencils, crayons, markers, 1 highlighter, scissors, 1 glue stick, 1 dry erase marker, 1 clean sock

Please keep the rest of the pencils, eraser caps, glue stick, and dry erase markers in a Ziploc bag with your child’s name to be kept in their cubby.

Optional items:

Hand sanitizer: You may want your child to have their own hand sanitizer so they don’t have to share. Look for refillable keychains and containers that clip to their backpack, so they don’t have to for it. Important: To be effective, hand sanitizer should be alcohol-based with at least 60% alcohol.

4th Grade

  • 2 Spiral Notebooks, 70 ct, wide rule (1 Blue, 1 Green)
  • 2 Marble Composition Books
  • (5) 2-Pocket Writing Folders (1 Blue, 1 Green, 1 Red, 1 Yellow, 1 free choice)
  • No. 2 Pencils, sharpened, 12 ct. NO MECHANICAL PENCILS PLEASE
  • Eraser Caps, pink latex free, 12 ct.
  • 150 ct Wide Rule Filler Paper (3-hole punched)
  • Scissors
  • Headset or earbuds
  • Gallon size ziploc bags (5 bags)
  • Pencil sharpener
  • 2 Glue sticks
  • Crayons 16-24 pack
  • 1 Box of Kleenex
  • 1 box Expo low odor dry erase markers (black if possible)
  • Dry eraser (old sock will do)
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day

5th Grade

Please label supplies with student name but please do not label any subjects.

  • Earbuds or headphones
  • 1 pencil pouch/box/case
  • 3 boxes of No. 2 pencils (please supply throughout the year as needed)
  • 3 blue or black pens
  • 2 pink erasers (ex. Pink Pearl)
  • 2 packs of Post-it notes (3 x 3, 100 ct.)
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 pack of glue sticks (*please no liquid glue)
  • 1 pair of student scissors
  • 2 packs of colored pencils
  • 1 hand-held sharpener
  • 2 highlighting markers (different colors)
  • 1 pack of index cards (3×5, lined)
  • 5 pocket folders: red, blue, green, yellow, and orange
  • 2 single subject spiral notebooks: yellow and green
  • 2 three-subject spiral notebooks: blue and red
  • 1 binder: one inch
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day

6th Grade

  • 2 Highlighting markers
  • Multipack of small tissue packages to be kept in desks for individual use
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 pair of scissors
  • 4 small glue sticks
  • No. 2 pencils (2 boxes, sharpened and labeled)
  • 10 pack of markers
  • 16-24 box of crayons
  • Pencil case
  • 1 Package of Post-it notes 3 x 3, 100 ct.
  • 3 Single subject spiral notebooks, 100 ct. (1 – blue, 1 – red, 1-yellow)
  • 5 Pocket folders– 1 of each color (1 blue, 1 red, 1 green, 1 yellow, 1 orange )
  • 1 Pocket folder (Any design for art.)
  • 1 Pair of earbuds
  • 1 Hand-held sharpener
  • 1 Eraser
  • 1 clean cloth or disposable mask each day
  • 1 lanyard for mask (or a clean labeled mask bag for mask breaks.)
  • Water bottle – (reusable or disposable) bring it full to school each day

Notes:

  • Please label every single material including pencils.
  • Binders are not needed as students will not be traveling.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available in every classroom but you may choose to have your child bring a personal bottle.
