Albany County Executive to honor Madison VanDenburg as Citizen of the Month

Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy will be honoring Shaker High School junior Madison VanDenburg as the Albany County Executive’s Citizen of the Month at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 26th. The ceremony will take place at the atrium of the Times Union Center, where Madison and Shaker alum Moriah Formica will perform a concert just days later. Any students who would like to attend are invited to go.

In a press release, the County Executive’s office said, “Madison continually impressed judges and fans alike with her musical prowess throughout her time on this season of American Idol. Having fought her way to the top three of the show, she has brought pride to her hometown and serves as an inspiration to other young women like her.”
