On March 4, North Colonie’s 6th grade LEP students traveled to NYC for a “Wall Street Experience.” The day started with a walking tour beginning at Trinity Church, where students were able to see and hear about world famous financial landmarks, including the New York Stock Exchange, Federal Reserve, and Wall Street. Students then had a tour of the Museum of Finance before stopping for lunch. After lunch, students had a guided tour of the 9/11 Memorial and Ground Zero. The day concluded with 90 minutes of self-guided exploration inside the 9/11 Memorial Museum.
“The day was an amazing experience for both the students and adult chaperones,” said Amy Parks, an Enrichment Specialist for Forts Ferry, Latham Ridge, and Loudonville elementary schools.
