12 individuals in school community test positive for COVID-19

Dear North Colonie Community,

Today, Monday, Jan. 11, the North Colonie Central School District has confirmed 12 new cases of COVID-19 in our school community. The cases by building include:

Boght Hills

  • An individual associated with the Boght Hills K-3 school community; no school contacts.

Latham Ridge

  • Two individuals associated with Latham Ridge grades 4-6 located in the junior high school; no contacts.

Shaker Junior High School

  • Two individuals associated with grades 7-8 in the high school building; no school contacts.
  • An individual associated with grades 7-8 in the high school building; all contacts have been notified.

Shaker High School

  • Five individuals associated with the Shaker High School community; no school contacts.

Districtwide

  • An individual associated with the transportation department; all contacts have been notified.

As a reminder, free meals are available for all students every day, for both in-person and remote learners (when students are back learning in-person). All K-12 remote learners can pick up meals on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8-9 a.m. behind Blue Creek Elementary School. This is available each week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We will also provide home delivery on Tuesday and Thursday. If you are in need of delivery, please email lisaostrowski@ncolonie.org. Free meals will be available to all students through June.
